During the Easter Mass, the Ecumenical Patriarch called on Ukraine and Russia to exchange “everything for everything.”
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, during the evening liturgy on Easter, called Ukraine and Russia to a “Christian” gesture – an exchange of “all for all.” He mentioned that he supports the initiative of Our Exit exchange movement.
According to the patriarch, it will be a “great expression for God” on the occasion of the great holiday.
“Spiritually, we support the initiative of Our Exit to exchange prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine on the occasion of Easter.
On the page of “Our Exit” it was noted that the Russian organization appealed to the Ecumenical Patriarch on the occasion of the holiday with a request to support the corresponding initiative.
“We, on behalf of the relatives of the captured soldiers, ask you on this day of Holy Easter, on the day of universal forgiveness and the greatness of the Spirit, to call upon the powers that be to exchange prisoners on the principle of “all for all,” said the appeal of the movement.
Let’s remember that during the Catholic Easter, Pope Francis called for a change in the Vatican.
President Vladimir Zelensky said in his Easter greetings that “God has a chevron with the Ukrainian flag on his shoulder With such an ally, life will surely defeat death.”
