At the Chisinau airport, while passing through border control, Erola Velieva, who is an assistant to the people’s deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev, was detained. Refat Chubarov announced the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people on Facebook on May 4.
It is noted that this happened today when Veliyev was returning to Kyiv. In 2018, the Russian Federal Security Service accused Veliyev of creating an extremist group in Crimea.
Our particular concern is that Erol Veliyev is an assistant to the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev and one of many Crimean Tatars included in Russia’s list of terrorists subject to arrest,” Chubarov noted.
According to Chubarov, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people is taking other measures aimed at protecting Veliyev’s rights.
At 16.59 Chubarov reported that Veliyev had been fired.
Let us remind you that in February the unrecognized Transnistria turned to the Russian Federation “for help.” Deputies of the fake PMR called on the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Russian Federation to “implement measures to protect Transnistria in the face of increasing pressure from Moldova.”
