The meeting between the leader of Russia and the leader of the People’s Republic of China will take place after the return of the Chinese leader from a tour of European countries.
Kremlin strongman Vladimir Putin plans to visit China and meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on May 15-16, after the Chinese leader returns from a tour of Europe. This is reported by the Bloomberg news agency with reference to its sources in the Kremlin.
“The dates may still change, but even in this case, Putin’s trip to negotiate with Chinese President Xi Jinping will be his first trip abroad since his inauguration in the Kremlin on May 7 ,” the report said.
The Russian strongman will visit China after Xi completes his first visit to the EU in five years, during which he will visit France, Serbia and Hungary. The Chinese leader’s tour will begin on May 5. Among the issues to be discussed is likely to be Russia’s war with Ukraine.
Let’s remember that White House adviser John Kirby said that China does not show a willingness to work to achieve a just peace between Russia and Ukraine.
