The Hungarian official assured that Budapest will soon defend its position to stay away from the war in Ukraine.
NATO intends to allocate another $100 billion in military aid to Ukraine. This was said by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, as evidenced by the video he posted on his Facebook page.
“In addition to the fact that NATO wants to coordinate arms supplies to Ukraine and the training of the Ukrainian military more closely than before, the Alliance now wants to pour another $100 billion into the war,” said by Szijjarto.
The proposal of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was considered in the first reading by the member countries.
“This $100 billion must be collected within five years,” he said.
The Hungarian official reiterated that Hungary’s position “remains clear.” According to him, “there is no solution on the battlefield, there is only death and destruction.” According to him, an agreement “can only be achieved through negotiations.”
“Hungary does not want to participate in the NATO operation to provide weapons and train the military,” Szijjarto said.
He added that Budapest will soon defend its position to stay away from arms supplies to Ukraine and out of the training of Ukrainian soldiers.
We remind you that the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken believes that Ukraine has made progress in the field of security and defense, as well as in the fight against corruption, indicating the implementation of the recommendations of the allies to come close to NATO standards.
