Statements about sending foreign troops to Ukraine are “a step towards the third world war,” the politician said.
Slovakia will not send its military to war, because Ukraine is not a member of NATO. This is what Prime Minister Robert Fico said, reports Aktuality.
“Ukraine is not a member of NATO. Slovakia has nothing to do with the war in Ukraine, and I am sending a very clear signal to all of Slovakia that no matter who asks us for something, a Slovak soldier will not cross the Slovak- Ukrainian border,” – he said.
The Slovak Prime Minister also responded to a statement by French President Emmanuel Macron on this issue.
“Sovereign statements by sovereign politicians are France’s business, not Slovakia’s,” he said, adding that such statements are “a step towards a third world war.”
We remind you that the French President Emmanuel Macron has not changed his opinion about the possibility of introducing Western troops into Ukraine. According to him, this is possible under two conditions.
In the past, Fico criticized the Slovaks, who independently collected money to help Ukraine, and called their actions a “fart” that will not affect anything.
