The prime minister pledged £3 billion ($3.74 billion) in annual military aid to Ukraine over a “sustainable period.”

Ukraine has the right to use weapons provided by London to strike targets on Russian territory, as Moscow is targeting Ukrainian territory. British Prime Minister David Cameron announced this on Thursday, May 2, in an interview with Reuters.

“Ukraine has a right. Like Russia is attacking inside Ukraine,” Cameron said while in Kyiv.

The prime minister pledged £3 billion ($3.74 billion) in annual military aid to Ukraine over a “sustainable period.”

“We’ll give three billion pounds a year as long as it takes. We’ve just exhausted all we can in providing equipment,” he said.

Cameron welcomed the US allocation of new military aid to Ukraine, but did not predict further US support given the country’s upcoming presidential election.

“It is not up to us to decide who the American people elect as their president – we will work with everyone,” Cameron said.

Some Western countries do not oppose Ukraine with their weapons on Russian territory. This was said by the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Baiba Braze

Let’s remember that the United States has drawn up “red lines” for Ukraine’s use of F-16s when they are available to the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the aircraft can only be used within the territory of Ukraine’s sovereignty.
