President Vladimir Zelensky announced the preparation of seven more new security documents, one of them from the United States. The head of state said this in a video message on Wednesday, May 1.
“We are preparing seven more new security documents for our state – the bilateral security agreements in particular, regarding the security agreement with the United States, finance, political relations – today I worked with the team at specific details of these documents. and for some of them there is already a preliminary text of the agreements,” said the president.
According to Zelensky, each of the agreements will support Ukraine this year and in the following years – a security architecture for the period before joining NATO.
“We fill the draft agreements with stronger opportunities for Ukraine and our joint security with our partners.
Let’s recall that on April 29, the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, conducted the third round of negotiations with the United States on an agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine. The parties noted, in particular, significant progress.
As is known, negotiations with the United States on a bilateral agreement on security guarantees began in August 2023. It is expected that the agreement can be signed at the July NATO summit in Washington.
