Applications for loan extension from farmers will be accepted through the State Agrarian Register.
The Ukrainian government has decided to extend state portfolio guarantees for lending to farms that have lost potential collateral property due to hostilities. This was announced on Wednesday, May 1, on the Uryadovy portal.
According to Resolution No. 477, prepared by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, farms that received loans before 2022 and are located in temporarily occupied territories or those where active hostilities continue may postpone their return until December 31, 2025.
Applications from farmers for continuous lending will be accepted through the State Agrarian Register.
The start of submission of applications for support will also be announced on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
In addition, the Government increased the credit limit under the program “Available Loans 5-7-9” for farmers involved in livestock farming from UAH 90 million to UAH 150 million. Financial support is provided to businesses that do not operate in a zone of active conflict or in temporarily occupied territories.
Let’s recall that in 2023, Ukraine recorded a record level of grain yield – 54.7 c/ha. The previous record was in 2021 – 53.6 c/ha.
It was also reported that last year 29 million tons of vegetables were harvested in Ukraine: potatoes became the leader of the harvest.
