The President expressed special gratitude to the soldiers of the special DOZOR unit of the State Border Service of Ukraine, soldiers of the Vengeance and Steel Border brigades, and border guards of the Volyn, Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkov detachments.
The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, in an evening video message to the people on Sunday, April 28, thanked the fighters for their protection and named individual border guard heroes.
“Based on the results of the week, the soldiers of the 57th separate and 58th separate motorized infantry brigades, as well as the soldiers of the 35th separate marine brigade, I should also thank our border guard soldiers, along with everyone , are now fighting on the front line , and those who protect our border communities are being destroyed by the Russian DRGs,” Zelensky said.
The President expressed special gratitude to all the soldiers of the DOZOR special unit of the State Border Service of Ukraine, the soldiers of the Vengeance brigade – staff sergeant Alexander Meteyko, senior sergeants Sergei Nesterenko and Svyatoslav Ignatyuk; brigade Steel Border – chief sergeant Ivan Koval, sergeant Vitaly Mikitenko, senior soldier Evgeniy Kolesnik; Chernigov and Volyn border detachments – senior soldiers Mikhail Danilyuk and Mikhail Mindyuk, sergeants Yuri Romashin and Mikhail Sereda, senior sergeant Roman Novik; Sumy border detachment – especially with soldier Andrei Krut and staff sergeant Yuri Popkov; Kharkov detachment – senior soldiers Denis Shevchenko and Vladimir Shevtsov, Major Andrey Kuchinsky.
Proud of you all, warriors! “I thank each and everyone who is with Ukraine, who is in Ukraine and for whom Ukraine is the only home in this world,” Zelensky stressed.
We remind you that in an evening video message on Sunday, April 28, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky also spoke about the diplomatic achievements of Ukraine. They discussed Ukraine’s readiness for EU accession negotiations, as well as preparations for the Peace Summit and NATO summit.
