The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5, 2024. The election will pit current President Joe Biden against former President Donald Trump.
US presidential candidate Donald Trump may choose North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum as his vice president. Axios wrote this on Sunday, April 28.
As the portal points out, Burgum is quickly moving the list of possible vice presidents of Trump.
“The presidential candidate’s team believes that Burgum will help gain the support of so-called moderate voters,” the portal wrote.
Trump began to frequently mention Burgum in discussions with his fans, and also invited him and his wife to an Easter brunch at the Mar-a-Lago residence.
Trump likes Burgum’s measured demeanor and gubernatorial experience, Axios sources told him. In addition, the presidential candidate considers Burgum reliable.
“Burgum is similar to Mike Pence, who served as vice president during Trump’s presidency from 2017 to 2021. In addition, Burgum has openly supported Trump on many issues, including abortion rights. Burgum has also quietly campaigned for to Trump, especially speaking on conservative and mainstream television channels,” Axios said.
Former US President Donald Trump, speaking to supporters in Ohio, said that if he does not win the presidential election in November, it will mean the likely end of American democracy.
