Drones attack an airport and two oil refineries in the Russian Federation; Russia fires missiles at energy facilities in Ukraine. Athletistic highlights yesterday’s key events.
Last night in Russia, attack drones attacked the Krasnodar region. The hit was recorded on a military airfield near the village of Kushchevskaya, as well as the oil refineries of Slavyansky and Ilsky. The media reported, citing sources, the involvement of the SBU in the attack. “During the attack on the military airport, the Security Service supported the Defense Forces and acted with them. Dozens of military aircraft, radar and electronic warfare equipment were stationed there,” the statement said. In addition, SBU drones hit the distillation and atmospheric columns of the Ilsky and Slavyansky refineries. These are the main technological facilities of factories. After the strike, fires and evacuations of personnel began at the airport and refinery. Information also appeared that during the attack on the Kushchevsk military airport, a warehouse with “controlled planning and correction modules” made into aerial bombs in furrowing ammunition (KAB – ed.) capable of flying 70 kilometers was destroyed. Russian public sites published a video of the wrecked train.
On Saturday night, Russian aggressors launched a joint attack on Ukraine using missiles of various types. Air defense units shot down more than half of the missiles. In total, the enemy used 34 air, ground and sea-based missiles, including 4 Kinzhal and 8 Caliber missiles. As a result of the battle against the aircraft, 21 air targets were destroyed.
On Saturday evening, Russian aggressors again attacked the energy infrastructure of Ukraine – in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. The Ministry of Energy reported the damage to the equipment. At one of the facilities, the shift supervisor was injured – a power engineer received a concussion. The main overhead line of Ukrenergo in the western region was disconnected. Emergency restoration work continues. There is still a lack of electricity in the energy system at times. Ukraine continues to import electricity for most of the day.
The Ukrainian military holds two-thirds of the villages of Ocheretino and Solovyevo in the Donetsk region. “The part of the settlement where the enemy has entered is under our fire control. The enemy has been intercepted, and steps are being taken to drive him out of there, but the situation is under control,” said OSV Khortytsia.
President Vladimir Zelensky fired Vladimir Maybozhenko from the post of head of the Brovary district state administration after he, while drunk, hit four people. Before this, the court chose a preventive measure for Maibozhenko in the form of unalternative detention. He was charged with violating road safety rules while intoxicated.
Australia will allocate a new military aid package worth $100 million to Ukraine. Half of this amount will be allocated to a large batch of MANPADS. More than $30 million is for drones within the Drone Coalition, and the rest is for other military needs.
