A multi-purpose Ka-32 helicopter caught fire at an airfield in Moscow. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Friday, April 26.
It is reported that the helicopter caught fire this evening at the Ostafyevo airfield of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to intelligence data, this airport belongs to the Russian Defense Ministry and is managed jointly with the Gazpromavia enterprise, which is part of Gazprom OJSC.
“The destroyed piece of aviation equipment was used by the aggressor state in the interests of the Moscow aviation center, in particular, to support the operations of the Russian occupation army,” the Main Intelligence Directorate reported.
Earlier it became known that a Mi-8 transport helicopter was destroyed at the Kryazh airfield in the Russian city of Samara. The Russians used it for the war against Ukraine, mainly to transport weapons and personnel.
Also in April, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopter ship in temporarily occupied Crimea.
