Britain says the Ukrainian Armed Forces will intensify attacks on Russia

Ukraine intends to increase attacks on targets behind Russian lines, said Admiral Tony Radakin.

Ukraine intends to increase attacks on targets behind Russian lines in anticipation of arms deliveries to the West. This was stated by the Chief of the Defense Staff, Commander of the British Armed Forces, Admiral Tony Radakin in an interview with the Financial Times.

Radakin noted that the grim “picture” of the war does not take into account long-term trends in Kyiv’s favor. These include the latest military aid packages from the US and Europe, Ukraine’s successful long-term strike and Moscow’s “absolute failure” to cut off Kiev’s vital Black Sea grain exports.

People need to stop “accepting Russia” and believing that it “is somehow of great benefit,” he added.

Russian forces continued to pound Ukraine with heavy artillery, missiles and drones, achieving some limited territorial gains. To seize the initiative, Ukrainian commanders have asked the West for more long-range, high-tech weapons while launching an increasingly ambitious assault inside Russia on energy production capacity and infrastructure.

Washington agreed to provide ATACMS, secretly shipping the shipment earlier this month. However, after much debate, US President Joe Biden finally instructed his White House team to ensure that ATACMS was only used in Ukraine.

At the same time, Radakin did not express any doubts about Ukrainian attacks and sabotage in Russia.

He also recalled that the British government had increased military aid to Kyiv to 3 billion pounds ($3.7 billion).

Radakin also rejected criticism that the West had no overall plan on how to help Kyiv achieve victory, but only provided it with enough military aid to avoid defeat.

“Don’t expect anyone to say publicly, ‘This is plan A, B, and C. Some elements of Ukraine’s military strategy will be hidden, some will be dictated by tactical or operational advantage, and some will depend also in a more basic aspect,” he explained. military

As you know, the US Senate finally voted in favor of aid to Ukraine. Before this, on April 20, the US House of Representatives passed a bill to provide nearly $61 billion in aid to Ukraine. Most of this huge amount will go to military support. US President Joe Biden signed a law providing aid to Ukraine.

The media reported that the ATACMS long-range missiles were in the first aid package.
