John Lennon’s long-lost guitar could set a new world record as the most expensive Beatles musical instrument ever sold.

The guitar of the founder of the famous British group The Beatles, John Lennon, will be sold at auction. It was reported by Euronews Culture.

In particular, a musical instrument that has been sitting in an attic for 50 years will be offered for sale as part of Julien’s Music Icons Auction sale on May 29 and 30.

The estimated value of a Framus Hootenanny guitar is currently between $600,000 and $800,000. It is expected to sell for more, possibly surpassing the $2.4 million that Lennon’s Gibson J160E guitar sold for in 2015.

The guitar is one of more than a thousand lots offered at the Musical Icons auction.

The auction also includes a Tina Turner Versace dress; Amy Winehouse black dress from Fendi; a Fender P bass played by U2’s Adam Clayton; a book of Tupac Shakur’s handwritten texts; Onitsuka Tiger sneakers worn by Freddie Mercury; Michael Jackson’s jacket.

It was previously reported that the legendary rock group The Beatles presented the latest composition recorded by all members of the Fab Four.
