The Polish official noted that many Poles get angry when they see young Ukrainian men in hotels and cafes, and hear how much effort Poland has to make to help Ukraine.
Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said his country is ready, if necessary, to help Ukraine return its military-age men to help in the war against Russia. He said this on Wednesday, April 24, in an interview with Polsat News.
The minister recalled that Poland had previously offered to help Ukraine so that men liable for military service could return to their homeland.
“I think many Poles get angry when they see young Ukrainian men in hotels and cafes and hear how much effort we have to make to help Ukraine,” he said.
At the same time, Kosinyak-Kamysh did not reveal the details of how exactly Poland will help.
“Any support is possible,” he said of how Poland would react if Kyiv asked for help in repatriating those who might lose their right to stay in Poland when their passports expire.
We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution according to which Ukrainian men of military age can no longer obtain international passports and passports of Ukrainian citizens outside Ukraine. After that, 300 Ukrainian men blocked the passport service in Warsaw.
