The Lithuanian government has adopted a resolution that will allow military personnel from other countries to take part in large-scale exercises on Lithuanian territory. We are talking about the international exercises Baltic Operations 2024 (BALTOPS), scheduled from June 4 to 21. This is reported by LRT.
As Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Laurynas Kasciunas said, if the number of military and civilian personnel arriving in Lithuania for training exceeds 1,600 people, then a special resolution is required, as required by law of the country.
It is reported that up to 10 thousand military and government officials will participate in the BALTOPS 2024 exercise and such large-scale exercises have never happened in Lithuania.

Warships and military personnel from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, France, Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Belgium, Portugal and Italy are scheduled to arrive to participate in country exercises.
It was previously reported about the military exercises in Moldova. Romania and the United States took part in the exercises.
