The press service of Ukrenergo reports this.
“Ukrenergo has been attracting emergency assistance from Europe almost around the clock for the second day,” the statement says.
It is noted that due to damage caused by Russian missile attacks, power plants cannot generate enough electricity to cover all the needs of consumers. So:
- From 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm power limitation schedules will apply for business and industry. These measures will not affect critical infrastructure facilities and defense enterprises;
- in Krivoy Rog, consumption restrictions for industrial consumers continue to apply around the clock;
- For household consumers, restrictions apply throughout the day in the Kharkov region. By morning, about 209 thousand household consumers were without power.
As of this morning, a total of 383 settlements were without power:
- due to hostilities, there is a power outage in the Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Nikolaev, Sumy, and Kharkov regions;
- For technical reasons, there is a blackout in the Dnepropetrovsk and Chernigov regions.
Emergency restoration work continues at thermal power plants after the massive missile attack on April 11. A planned repair campaign continues at nuclear power plants, Ukrenergo notes. — Sunny weather contributes to the operation of power plants using renewable energy sources.
In such conditions, Ukrainians are urged to consume electricity sparingly, and industry is encouraged to maximize the import of electricity and use, if available, alternative power sources.
