The Security Service of Ukraine neutralized an intelligence group of the Russian FSB. Two of the attackers were caught red-handed while carrying out a hostile mission. A former deputy of the Kherson district council and a hospital worker were detained. The SBU press center reported this on April 22 on Telegram.
Investigators determined that their tip led the enemy to fire at a local hospital, a church, and a National Police building. In addition, they were preparing new air attacks in the Kherson region and, under the guise of walking, they secretly recorded the locations of the Defense Forces.
It turned out that the former deputy “summarized” the information received and sent the intelligence group to the senior officer via messenger. He was a local resident who began to collaborate with the Russians and, on the eve of the liberation of Kherson, fled to Russia.
The identity of the fourth attacker was also established. All Russian agents have already reported suspicion. In particular, the ex-deputy is suspected of high treason and faces life imprisonment.
Let us recall that on April 18, the SBU reported on the detention of a Polish citizen who collaborated with Russian military intelligence with the Polish intelligence services. The attacker must help the intelligence services of the aggressor country plan a possible assassination attempt on President Vladimir Zelensky during his stay in Poland.
