Iran has denied the supply of Russian fighter jets to the country

Iran’s air force is largely composed of converted American and Soviet aircraft built before 1979.

Iranian officials deny information about the first delivery of Russian Su-35 fighter jets to the country. Radio Liberty wrote this on Sunday, April 21.

In particular, officials told reporters that reports from some Iranian media that Tehran will allegedly receive Russian aircraft in the next few days are false.

It is indicated that the journalists who announced the possible supply of Russian fighter jets were referring to the publication of the SNN news agency, which is close to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

“The agency itself rejected the report after consultations with the Ministry of Defense, which last year announced that Iran had purchased Mi-28N attack helicopters and Yak-130 trainer aircraft from Russia in addition to Su-35 fighters jet,” wrote Radio Kalayaan.

Iran buys balloons from Russia that can be used for espionage.

Let’s remember that last fall, the Republican leader in the US Senate, Mitch McConnell, said that China, Russia and Iran are a new “axis of evil” that the United States “must face”.
