A car that crashed into a crowd at a race killed seven people in Sri Lanka.

A racing car plowed into a crowd of spectators at the 2024 Fox Hill Super Cross race in Sri Lanka, killing seven people and injuring 20 others. The Daily Mirror wrote this on Sunday, April 21.

The accident occurred in the small town of Diyatalawa in the southern part of the island.

Among the dead were an eight-year-old child and four representatives of the event’s organizers. Several victims are in critical condition.

According to police spokesperson Nihal Talduva, the racing car lost control and crashed into the crowd of spectators.

In total, more than 100,000 spectators attended the races.
