Lithuania has given a new military aid package to Ukraine, which includes a combat aircraft. The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced this on Saturday, April 20.
“The Lithuanian army handed over the L-39ZA Albatross light attack aircraft in a disassembled state to the Ukrainian army,” the statement said.
It is indicated that this aircraft was used in the Lithuanian army to train fighter control officers to ensure the combat readiness of pilots.
“Lithuania’s support for Ukraine is long-term and has reached more than 1 billion euros. Lithuania has provided military support to Ukraine in the amount of more than 610 million euros,” the department added.
We remind you that on April 11, Lithuania announced the transfer of military aid to Ukraine. Then the Ukrainian Armed Forces received anti-drone systems, generators and folding beds.
Lithuania has also launched a special rehabilitation program for Ukrainian military personnel. 15 million euros have been allocated for these purposes.
