The new production was opened during the visit of the Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Economics of Germany Robert Habeck to Kyiv on April 18. This is already the second Quantum Systems enterprise in Ukraine. This was reported on the company’s website.
Quantum Systems Vector reconnaissance drones have been in operation in Ukraine since May 2022. And through the German Enablement Initiative, 212 systems were provided.
The new plant will employ about 100 workers. It is expected that the enterprise will deliver 500 drones to the Defense Forces by the end of 2024, and in the future the plant will reach capacity to produce up to 1 thousand UAVs. Spare parts for drones will also be produced here.
Investments of the German manufacturer will increase to 6 million euros in two years.
Let us remind you that Quantum Systems has been supplying drones to the Defense Forces since 2022. And in January of this year, the company announced a gift to Ukraine in the form of 100 UAVs in different configurations. It was known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be given Trinity Pro mapping drones, which can take off and land vertically and can stay in the air for 90 minutes.
