The Center for Strategic Communications of the Southern Defense Forces will work as usual, organizing cooperation with media representatives with appropriate accreditation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense added.
Gumenyuk did not comment on the decision of the General Staff.
Let’s add that the journalists demanded the dismissal of Natalia Gumenyuk from her position. Ukrainian and foreign media workers argued that it prohibited coverage of Russian war crimes in its area of responsibility and demanded access to areas in the Kherson region.
Natalia Gumenyuk herself told Radio Liberty that the journalists did not provide evidence, and the press center of the Southern Defense Forces did not violate any orders from the command.
