Fico has repeatedly opposed military aid to Ukraine and made anti-Ukrainian statements.
The Russians “will not return” temporarily occupied Crimea in Ukraine and “will not leave” the Donbass. The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, announced this on Wednesday, April 17, reports the Slovak publication Dennik N.
Fico said that the recognition of the principle of territorial integrity in the case of Ukraine is “only a theory of international law.”
“From the point of view of international law, each of us recognizes the territorial integrity of another country, the sovereignty, the inviolable borders, this is a good theory of international law, but I say that the Russians will never return to Crimea never leave Donbass and Lugansk,” said the Slovak Prime Minister.
In his opinion, any peace would be expensive, and the Russians supposedly won militarily.
Earlier, Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak said that NATO countries should not send their troops to Ukraine. Instead, “cowardly” Ukrainian men from abroad have to be sent back to their homeland.
