The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed on its Telegram channel that its air defense allegedly “destroyed a Ukrainian drone” on the territory of Tatarstan.
The agency of the aggressor country says it happened at about 11:20 (Kyiv time).
Russian propagandists said that a Ukrainian drone flying towards the Alabuga special economic zone and the TAIF House of Culture enterprise was allegedly “shot down in the sky over Yelabuga in Tatarstan.” This was stated in a message from the Mash Telegram channel.
However, they added that the employees of the businesses were nevertheless immediately evacuated.
The Telegram channel recalled that on Wednesday morning, April 17, the Carpet plan was introduced at the airports of Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhnekamsk due to the threat of an attack.
DK TAIF is the largest Russian holding. It controls most of the oil and gas refining industry.
Let’s remember that on April 2, drones attacked a plant that produces suicide bombs in Tatarstan, located a thousand kilometers from Ukraine. Some media wrote that this was an operation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
