According to the Kazakh leader, “you can see what happened to the countries that fought against the Russian language.”
Kazakh President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev said the country’s residents should not “fight the Russian language.” He announced this on Tuesday, April 16, at a meeting with residents of the Kostanay region.
Tokayev said that in Kazakhstan the official language is Kazakh, and Russian is equally used here.
“Therefore, there is no contradiction here, because it is convenient, so it is necessary to say,” he added.
At the same time, the president mentioned “some countries” where they allegedly fought against the Russian language.
“To create hysteria around the language, especially to fight it, as happened in some countries, and we see what they have now as a result of all this,” said Tokayev.
Advertisements began appearing on the screens of Kazakh Internet users offering instant payments of more than $5,000 to join the Russian army.
We remind you that two supporters of the “Russian world” were sentenced to prison in Kazakhstan.
It was also reported that Kazakhstan does not need to join the so-called “union state” of Russia and Belarus. The President of the country, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, said this.
