The chairman of the work of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was sentenced to 12 years in prison without confiscation of property for collaboration activities. This was reported by the prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
It was noted that the head of the “spiritual administration of the Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol” created by the aggressor Emirali Ablaev, actively called on the Crimean Tatar population of the peninsula to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
At the Kremlin’s direction, he organized mass events where he tried to “recruit” Crimeans into Russian occupation groups. He also repeatedly appeared on the air of the central Russian television channels, where he supported the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and justified the war crimes of the occupiers, demonstratively condemned the representatives of the Crimean people Tatars who speak out against the Kremlin and fight for Ukraine.
For his active participation in the “reunification of Crimea with Russia,” the convict was awarded the medal “For Valiant Labor” and the Order “For Loyalty to Duty.”
Currently, Alabaev is in temporarily occupied Crimea. SBU officials are taking comprehensive measures to bring him to justice.
