The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky had a telephone conversation with the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and, as a result of the negotiations, announced that Germany has decided to transfer another Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.
“I thank the Chancellor for the decision to provide one more Patriot system to Ukraine and missiles to the existing air defense systems, Olaf, for your leadership. This is a real show of support for Ukraine in a critical time for us. I urge all other leaders of partner countries to follow this example “- Zelensky noted.
The President also said that he discussed with Scholz the preparations for the upcoming URC2024 recovery conference in Berlin, as well as the preparations for the inaugural Peace Summit in Switzerland in June.
“I am grateful to the chancellor for his willingness to make the summit as successful as possible,” Zelensky added.
We remind you that Julian Repke, a journalist for the German publication Bild, said that Ukraine has run out of missiles for the Patriot and Iris-T anti-aircraft air defense systems.
The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that missiles for such air defense systems as American Patrioti and German Iris-T have not been exhausted in Ukraine, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a shortage of critical ammunition.
