The Finnish government has decided to suspend indefinitely the operation of maritime checkpoints on the border with Russia from Monday, April 15. This was reported by the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

It is reported that traffic on the Saimaa Canal through Nuijamaa will be suspended for pleasure boats. The Haapasaari and Santio checkpoints are also closed indefinitely.
