As part of the Ukraine Facility program, Kyiv will receive a previously announced tranche of 1.5 billion euros in April and another in May. In March, the first tranche in the amount of 4.5 billion euros was transferred to Ukraine. The next payment is scheduled for April and will amount to 1.5 billion euros. European Commissioner and Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskus announced this at a press conference in Brussels.
The European Commission plans to evaluate the “Ukrainian Plan” with the aim of establishing quarterly indicators of the state of reforms and expenditures with the aim of opening up the possibility of subsequent tranches. Once these findings are verified in May, Ukraine will be able to receive €1.9 billion in pre-financing.
Let us remind you that on March 20, the Ministry of Economy announced Ukraine’s plan for the Ukraine Facility, the implementation of which will bring more than 50 billion euros of financial assistance from the European Union. Ukraine has already received the first tranche of 4.5 billion euros. Further funding will depend on the implementation of the approved plan.
