Former US President Donald Trump, after a meeting with House Speaker Mike Johnson, clarified that he is not against approving aid to Ukraine, but only as a loan. This was reported by The Hill.

In particular, he appeared for comments with Johnson at his Mar-a-Lago villa and said that “they are thinking of doing this as a loan, not just a gift.”

“Today we continue to give gifts worth billions and billions of dollars, and we are exploring this issue. But for me it is more important that Europe should be more involved and give money. They should give something in return. If it doesn’t happen, I’ll be very embarrassed because it worries them more than us,” Trump said.
