Czech President Peter Pavel said Prague plans to transfer as many shells as possible to Kyiv.
The Czech Republic, as part of its initiative, found more than one million pieces of artillery ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is what President Peter Pavel said, reports the Czech publication DenikN.
“Initially, we identified about 800 thousand units of 155-caliber artillery ammunition for Ukraine, this was the exact amount in the past. Now it is more than a million,” said the head of state.
According to him, Ukraine will be given a large amount of ammunition to better prepare for a possible Russian offensive in the summer.
The Czech Republic plans to supply Ukraine with as many shells as possible.
Pavel added that other countries are also working on programs to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with shells.
“Our initiative is not the only one; Estonia and Great Britain form a similar one; France also spoke about it,” recalled the Czech leader.
Earlier it was reported that within the framework of the Czech initiative, Ukraine will be given not 800 thousand bullets, as previously planned, but one million.
As we have already written, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky met with the Presidents of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel and Romania Klaus Iohannis in Vilnius.
