The criminal group included four residents of the village of Kuchurgan in the Odessa region, located on the border with the temporarily occupied part of Moldova, the press service of the National Police said on April 12.
As law enforcement officers established, the defendants agreed with the “clients” on a meeting place and brought them to a private house not far from the place of the illegal crossing.
A citizen of Moldova was involved in the deal, who at night transported the Ukhilians across the Kuchurgan reservoir on his own boat.
This service cost from seven to ten thousand dollars, depending on the urgency of the departure.
