Sociologists conducted a survey of Ukrainians about Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. 69% of respondents believe that Ukraine can join the EU within five years. At the same time, 40% believe that this is possible in the next 1-2 years, 29% – for up to 5 years.
Another 14% believe that Ukraine will become a member of the EU in 5-10 years, 3% in 10-20 years. Only 7% do not believe that Ukraine can join the European Union.

The survey was conducted on June 18-19 on 1,200 adult Ukrainians using the CATI method (telephone interviews using a computer) across the country, except in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbass and territories where there is no mobile communication in Ukrainian at that time. of the survey. The error of representation of the study did not exceed 2.8%.
Earlier, the EU committee supported the granting of candidate status to Ukraine.
The final decision on granting Ukraine such status will be made on June 23-24 at a meeting of the European Council.
