The parliamentary committee on law enforcement ensured that the new bill does not provide for imprisonment.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Activities determined the amount of fines for citizens, officials and legal entities for military offenses related to military mobilization and registration. However, he ruled out criminal liability for such offenses. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Affairs Sergei Ionushas in a commentary Ukrainian Facts.
“Today (April 8, – ed.) we recommend that the parliament adopt bill No. 10379 as a basis and, in general, with amendments in the committee,” said the representative of the people.
According to him, the committee proposed to exclude from the draft law all changes to the Criminal Code, in particular, “no prison terms for avoiding conscription during mobilization.”
He added that the committee determined the amount of fines for violating the rules of military registration and mobilization. For violation of military registration rules (Article 210 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) in peacetime, the following fine is imposed:
-
from 3400 to 5100 hryvnias,
-
repeatedly or in a special period – from 17,000 to 22,500 hryvnias.
For violation of the defense and mobilization law (Article 210-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) in peacetime, it is planned to establish fines from 5,100 to 8,500 hryvnias for citizens, from 17,000 to 34,000 hryvnias for officials and legal entity.
In particular, during the martial law legal regime, fines ranged from 17,000 to 22,500 hryvnias for citizens, from 34,000 to 59,500 hryvnias for officials and legal entities.
As we already wrote, they are planning to launch “smart mobilization” in Ukraine, which will allow citizens to freely choose the specialization in which they want to mobilize.
