In the direction of Ukraine, the fewest trucks are allowed through the Yagodin checkpoint, noted Andrey Demchenko.
Three directions remain blocked at the Ukrainian-Polish border. There are about 500 trucks lined up. The representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBSU) Andrey Demchenko said this in a telethon on Monday, April 8.
According to him, Polish farmers do not allow trucks from Ukraine to Poland to pass through Yagodin, Rawa-Russkaya and Ugrinov directions. At the same time, empty trucks from Ukraine started to pass in the first two directions, but in the last 24 hours not a single truck was allowed to pass.
“In the direction of Ukraine, the least traffic goes through Yagodin, although it is the largest direction in terms of infrastructure that can meet the demand for a large number of vehicles crossing the border. In the last 24 hours, the number of crossings are at the level of 60 trucks,” added the representative of the State Border Guard Service.
In total, around 500 trucks are lined up on the three routes. There are also queues on unblocked routes: Krakovets – about 900 trucks, and in Sheginy – about 800 trucks.
“However, traffic remains heavy on the routes,” Demchenko added.
As is known, the Poles are protesting against the import of Ukrainian agricultural products, the plans of the European Commission to extend the economic visa-free regime in Ukraine for another year, as well as also against the EU’s “green deal”.
Let’s recall that on March 28, an intergovernmental meeting between Ukraine and Poland took place in Warsaw, where the parties presented a common position on unblocking the border.
