Two citizens of one of the countries of the South Caucasus who lived in Odessa worked for the Russian FSB. On the instructions of the enemy, they scouted out the bases of Ukrainian troops in order to record the coordinates on Google maps. After setting the geolocations of the “necessary” objects, the attackers collected as much information as possible about the personnel available there, military equipment and work features. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The agency not only independently walked the streets of Odessa, but also used local residents “in the dark.” The defendants also created a public organization in the city that operated under the guise of providing assistance for the legalization of foreign citizens in Ukraine. But in fact, they were recruiting informants for Russia.
The occupiers, after receiving data from the agents, planned to carry out a series of targeted missile and drone strikes on military infrastructure and combat positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, the SBU exposed the attackers at the initial stage of their activities.
The detainees have already been informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison.
Let us remind you that in the Kharkov region, the Security Service of Ukraine, during a special operation, detained a family of traitors who wanted to blow up the railway trains of the Ukrainian defense forces.
