Targets for Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles are found by the Mineral-U radar.

This is a Ukrainian mobile multifunctional radar complex designed to detect and classify surface objects at a distance of up to 600 km. Mineral-U provides data for hitting targets with Neptune missiles. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced this on April 3 in Telegram.
The department noted that work on the first mineral samples on the Tatra 8×8 platform was completed in 2021. In the same year, this radar successfully passed factory tests.
As is known, “Neptune” is a rocket with a normal aerodynamic configuration, which is launched from a transport and launch container using a starting engine. The maximum flight range of the missile does not exceed 300 km, and the maximum speed is 900 km/h.
For the first time, Neptune was used against invaders during a full-scale war. In April 2022, it was reported that it was this missile that hit the Russian frigate Admiral Essen. And on April 13 of the same year, Neptune sank the Russian missile cruiser Moskva, which was the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
Let us remind you that on March 26, the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced the defeat of the ship “Konstantin Olshansky” by a Neptune missile, which the Russians stole in 2014 and kept in the occupied Crimea. The ship is incapacitated after the attack.
