In Ukraine, due to strong winds, 276 settlements were left without electricity. The Ministry of Energy announced this on the evening of Tuesday, April 2.
It was reported that as of 18:00, 276 communities were without electricity due to bad weather.
Most of the problems with electricity supply appeared in the Kiev region – about 34,200 consumers in 120 settlements were without electricity, and in the Khmelnytsky region 61 settlements remained without power, for a total of more than 9,400 subscribers, writes the Ministry of Energy.
They also reported that in Transcarpathia, due to bad weather, 42 settlements were left without electricity – that’s almost 10,000 consumers; in the Zhytomyr region, 32 settlements are without electricity, and in the Dnepropetrovsk region – 21.
We remind you that the day before it was reported that in Poland, five people were killed by strong winds, including children.
Ukrainians were also warned that dust from the Sahara would cover the country. The air quality will be severely degraded and the sky will be dark.
