Men deemed of limited fitness for service are required to undergo a re-medical examination within 9 months.
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a bill on repeated medical examinations of limited eligible men. This was reported on the BP website.
According to the document, men recognized as partially fit for service must undergo a second medical examination within 9 months, as the concept of “limited fitness” for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been abolished in Ukraine .
The law also sets standards for ensuring the rights of military personnel and police officers to social protection.
According to People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the bill has been greatly improved.
Thus, it became possible for military personnel to undergo treatment for up to 12 months, including abroad, without having to personally undergo a military medical commission after four months.
The law also establishes a monetary payment of 15 million UAH to the defender’s family in the event of his death.
Let’s recall that on March 21, the Rada adopted a general law on ensuring the rights of military personnel and police officers to social protection.
Zelensky also signed a law on April 2 providing for the launch of an electronic account for those liable for military service.
