The Ukrainian publication analyzed what the estimated production rate is and what the current stock is.
Today, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said that Russia has accumulated enough Calibers to strike the territory of our state. The military publication Defense Express decided to find out exactly how many of these missiles the Russian Federation currently has.
To find the answer to this question, we can rely on the data on the number of missiles in the Russian Federation in November 2023. Then the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Vadim Skibitsky, said that in November of last year, the Russians has an accumulated stock of 165 Calibers. If we consider the data known at that time, the production rate of Calibers can be from 20 to 35 units per month,” the journalists said.
And they believe that within four months the enemy’s stock of missiles of this type can grow in the range from +80 units to +120 units, or in a range from 245 to 285 units.
For comparison, just to illustrate the trend – in November 2023, the Russian invaders have in stock only 160 air-launched cruise missiles of the X-101/555/55 types, that is, here already “in the beginning ” the number of air-launched missiles has become less. than the number of “Calibers”.
The publication also states that it is worth considering the following point – if we rely on the official reports of the Air Force, then in the period from March 21 to March 31, 2024, the Russian invaders fired only 133 air-launched cruise missiles Kh- 101/555/5 in Ukraine.
“Against this background, it seems logical to estimate that as the existing stock of air-launched cruise missiles is exhausted, the Russians may “unpack” the stock of “Calibers.” But at the same time, the Russians can continue to rely on the same Kh-101 to carry out attacks on our critical infrastructure. It is reported that the Russian Federation has begun production of the Kh-101 with two warheads, and this missile is actually became twice as dangerous, also indicates that the enemy is looking to maximize the effect of using such missiles with a possible decrease in the intensity launches,” the publication wrote.
We remind you that in recent weeks the Russians have carried out several large-scale attacks on the Ukrainian energy system. The last one took place on the night of March 31st. Air defense units shot down most of the enemy targets.
