The purpose of the Russians when shelling the energy facilities is to destabilize the situation in the energy system and demoralize the Ukrainians.

The goal of Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine’s energy system is a total blackout of the country, destabilization of the system and demoralization of all Ukrainians. This is what Deputy Energy Minister Nikolai Kolesnik said in a telethon.

He noted that the Russians are conducting a combined attack on the generation, distribution, and transportation of electrical energy, because their goal is really a total blackout.

“The targets of the attack are scattered throughout Ukraine. Therefore, we can say that the enemy’s goal is a systematic attack on energy facilities to prevent the population from meeting their household needs and destroy the moral situation, because the infrastructure is built. ,” said Kolesnik. .

The System’s Deputy Minister of Energy emphasized that the gas transportation system and underground gas storage facilities are stable, as they are designed for higher design capacity.

“In fact, the actions of the enemy are rather aimed at instilling a certain fear among foreigners and destabilizing the situation. But the system now works stably, all requests for gas extraction and supply are fulfilled. We made several forecasts and exercises to prepare for such attacks “And understand all the potential risks, study them,” he said.

We remind you that on March 22, the Russians carried out the largest attack on the energy sector of Ukraine. On March 29, energy facilities in six regions were attacked, after which emergency shutdowns were introduced in several regions.
