The Russian army uses the Black Sea to launch missile attacks on Ukrainian territory.
At the moment there are no Russian launch vehicles in the Black and Azov Seas. At their bases, the situation remains stable. The spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Dmitry Pletenchuk, spoke about this on Saturday, March 30, in a telethon.
“In the time that has passed since the destruction of the patrol ship, there have been absolutely no sea trips like this. There have been a few short-term, probably demonstrative, when some underwater carriers have been released, but almost immediately they have been returned, Plentechuk said.
According to him, this is due to the fact that the enemy is trying to develop some tactics to counter the Ukrainian Defense Forces, which are actively destroying Russian ships.
“So far, they haven’t found a solution that can provide some kind of security,” the spokesperson added.
The Ukrainian military managed to destroy four large landing ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The enemy has only five ships of this type left, said Dmitry Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier on Tuesday it became known that the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the ship Konstantin Olshansky with a Neptune missile. This is a Ukrainian large landing craft captured by Russian troops during the annexation of Crimea 10 years ago in 2014. The ship is being repaired.
