The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, summarizing the results of the week in an evening video message on March 30, paid special attention to the work of energy workers and developers who are eliminating the consequences of the Russian attack on the country’s energy industry.
“Our power engineers, repair crews, and builders have been working almost continuously throughout the week. All involved in eliminating the consequences of the Russian strikes and protecting energy facilities. In others’ t different regions. And this is a lot of people who are literally pulling out. the normal life of our state. Thermal power plant workers, engineers, network foremen, electricians – all who restore generation and supply of electricity . Now I want to thank all of you who are really doing everything for Ukraine to live normally: with electricity, with the opportunity to work – all our cities and villages are aimed exactly at these things evil blows that lead to the bleeding of energy of Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
The President also thanked partner countries that are helping Ukraine defend against Russian aggression, as well as recover from Russia’s brutal attacks.
“We gave all the necessary signals to our partners, all the specific requests – to all who own the necessary air defense systems, to all who have the necessary missiles. America, Europe, our others other partners – everyone knows what we need, everyone knows how important it is. now to help us protect ourselves from these attacks, certainly at this time. Thank you to the heads of states and government whose leadership is being shown today, which really fulfills our agreements and keeps their words. Thank you to everyone who fights and works for Ukraine!” Zelensky said at the end of the evening speech.
We remind you that on March 22, the Russians carried out the largest attack on the energy sector of Ukraine. After that, DTEK announced the destruction of two-thirds of the power units it had continued to hold since last winter.
And on March 29, the enemy attacked energy facilities in six regions, then introduced emergency power outages in several regions.
