German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in his address to the Germans on the occasion of Easter, called for support for Ukraine for the sake of a just world. This was reported by the German publication ZDF.
“A world without freedom means oppression. There is no peace without justice. That is why we support Ukraine in its struggle for a just world – as long as it takes,” said the head of the German government.
The official emphasized that Ukraine’s support is also important for Germany’s security.
According to him, peace in Europe has been maintained for decades by observing the principle that state borders cannot be changed by force. However, the head of the ruling regime of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, violated this principle, the chancellor emphasized.
Note that Germany is increasing its stockpile of weapons. The German government plans to sign several large contracts for the purchase of weapons in the near future.
