This shelling destroyed all the units and damaged auxiliary equipment. The degree of destruction varies, from complete to significant. Currently, debris is being cleared at the thermal power plant and there is no access to most of the equipment. The exact amount needed for repairs and forecasts regarding the duration of restoration of the enterprise are currently unknown. This was reported on the website of PJSC Centerenergo.
Energy Minister German Galushchenko visited the thermal power plant and promised help from donors.
We will help through donors. There is money. There is a suitable energy support fund. He works. That’s why everyone is ready to help! – he emphasized.
And the head of the supervisory board of Centernergo, Andrei Gota, said that the team, which was able to raise the Zmievskaya TPP from scratch after preliminary shelling and ensure the successful completion of the heating season, is ready for new challenges. Previously, repairs to the damaged plant took six months.
Let us remind you that the Kharkov CHPP-5, which was fired upon by the Russian invaders, will be repaired for more than one year. The enterprise lost its main capacity to generate thermal and electrical energy for Kharkov. The regional center’s food comes from other regions.
