The human factor came into play – someone wanted to get a medal and didn’t bother to find out whose plane it was.
A Russian Su-27 military aircraft was shot down by the Russian military in the bay of Sevastopol. This was announced on Friday, March 29, by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, during a telethon.
“We confirm that this plane belongs to the Russian Federation and that it was destroyed on its own. They are on alert, they are in combat readiness. The human factor worked – someone really wanted to get a medal and not know whose plane it was,” he emphasized. Pletenchuk.
He also noted that, despite the defeat of the communications center in Sevastopol, it is too early to say that the enemy has no way to conduct reconnaissance.
“They use different types of aircraft, from the Soviet Su-27, as fell to them yesterday, shot down by their own forces, to the Iranian-made Mohajer-6. Therefore, I am not ready to say that they don’t have the means to conduct reconnaissance,” – emphasized the Navy spokesman.
Let’s recall that on March 28, a Russian military aircraft was shot down in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol. “In Sevastopol, Russian soldiers shot down their own plane – it took off from the Belbek airfield,” said a message from the Crimean Wind Telegram channel. A video from the scene of the events was also released. One of the videos shows a plane engulfed in flames and falling rapidly. On the other side, an open parachute can be seen. The pilot was able to take off.
