The President of Ukraine spoke with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States of America Mike Johnson, met with the head of the French National Assembly and the delegation of the European Parliament.
The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, in a video message in the evening on Thursday, March 28, spoke about the next steps of international cooperation to protect Ukraine from Russian aggression.
In particular, Zelensky spoke with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States of America, Mike Johnson.
“I informed about the situation at the front today, about the continuation of Russian attacks on our cities – this fear of them is only increasing and can only be stopped by the physical strength of our defense. Ukraine is grateful with the support of the United States and every American who is experiencing the same as we are experiencing “that freedom should not fail. And it is critical that Congress maintain its leadership so that the defense of freedom remains a unifying idea – one that unites both domestically and around the world,” the president said.
Zelensky spoke about the same thing in a meeting with the head of the French National Assembly.
“We discussed the prospects of how we can end this war and the expulsion of the Russian invaders closer. I thanked the French Parliament for the support of the security agreement concluded with President Macron. Of course, it was also discussed We are talking about Emmanuel’s recent proposals,” added the Ukrainian leader.
Zelensky also announced a meeting with the delegation of the European Parliament – representatives of the Renew Europe group.
“This is a significant political group in Europe. Soon there will be elections to the European Parliament, and all of us in Ukraine should get used to the fact that this process is important for Ukraine. Of course, we talked about in support, and about the threats that exist today, and about what we can achieve all together in Europe – each defending his own country, but also common values, and therefore the security of all Europeans,” said the president.
Zelensky also reported on Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov’s report on defense packages and thanked everyone who is helping Ukraine defend itself from Russian aggression.
