The head of state inspected the progress of the construction of fortifications in the region – he examined trenches, dugouts, firing and command observation posts. He was told about a typical project for the construction of a platoon stronghold, which involves the presence of reinforced concrete structures, firing points for tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, and a shelter made of corrugated steel. They also showed a strip of non-explosive fencing to contain enemy equipment. This was reported on the president’s website on March 27.
In the Sumy region, Zelensky visited the location of the 117th separate territorial defense brigade. The commander of the Seversk operational-tactical group, Major General Dmitry Krasilnikov, and brigade commander Colonel Maxim Aksamitovsky reported to the head of state about the operational situation. During the meeting, the president discussed with the military the need for means to combat this type of weapon.
Zelensky also met with wounded defenders undergoing treatment in one of the hospitals. These heroes were wounded in the Kupyansky and Bakhmutsky directions and near the village of Krynki, Kherson region.
Let us remind you that the Russian army regularly attacks the Sumy region. In particular, the enemy attacks civilian infrastructure and civilian settlements. In particular, on March 26, the invaders dropped a guided bomb on Belopole. The city Center for Children and Youth Creativity and about 20 private houses were damaged.
