In Moldova they saw attempts to destabilize the situation in the country, illegal funding of various parties, attempts to buy voters.
Moldovan Interior Minister Adrian Efros says Russia has not abandoned its intentions to occupy Moldova, but there is no sign of a military threat to the country yet.
“We are in a state of full-scale hybrid war. And it has intensified since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Ukrainian troops are stopping the offensive, so the Russian Federation has changed tactics, but has not left the his intentions to get Moldova,” the minister noted on the Ziarul de Gardă podcast.
According to him, in Moldova they see attempts to destabilize the situation in the country, illegal financing of various parties, attempts to buy voters. At the same time, Efros emphasized that Moldova is not currently in danger of military aggression.
“There are no signs of a military threat. Yes, there are attempts to interfere in our internal affairs, but society must remain calm and trust the authorities that ensure public order,” he added.
The minister emphasized that statements about Chisinau’s inability to cope with the crisis can also be attributed to the elements of a hybrid war.
Let’s recall that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova declared an employee of the Russian Embassy persona non grata in connection with the organization of the “elections” of the President of Russia in Transnistria, despite the fact that the official Chisinau is against here.
